We started our business after a decade working at ad agencies, consulting firms, and corporate marketing teams in Toronto. After feeling the entrepreneurial pull and realizing how powerful it can be, we decided to use our professional experience to help other entrepreneurs make their wild ideas happen, too. Meet the founders.
We believe all work is more meaningful when there’s purpose behind it. We commit at least 1% of every sale to Canadian charities like Feed the Children Canada and Sick Kids Hospital. We also offer content to help entrepreneurs like you make purpose part of what you do, like this checklist. If there’s a Canadian charity close to your heart, let us know.
How many times have you gone to Google only to find American results? The details of running a business in Canada are different. Of course, a lot of our content offers fundamental information and frameworks that will help entrepreneurs from any country. But when we get into specifics, it’s written specifically for our friends up north.
wild idea co. is founded by Sarah Gencarelli and Ryan Gencarelli. We started our business after a decade working at ad agencies, consulting firms, and corporate marketing teams in Toronto. We felt the entrepreneurial pull and know first-hand how powerful that can be.
With the busyness of everyday life, it can be hard to follow through. It took us flying 7,300km away on a family vacation to Italy to gain the clarity we needed to make it happen.
On that trip, after a few glasses of Italian wine, we decided to use our professional experience to help other entrepreneurs follow their passion, find a new purpose, and make it profitable.
When we got home, we skipped town, bought land outside Ottawa, built a home, and now run our business from here – with the help of our beautiful daughter.
We work directly with founders and agency partners to help launch and build brands, from building strategy to bringing it to life with brand design, websites, and marketing content.
Work is more meaningful when there’s a higher purpose behind it. If there’s a cause that’s close to your heart, there’s a way your new business can help.
We’ve put together a worksheet to help you weave purpose into your business. Enter your email and we’ll send it to you for free.
